As you probably read before: I did get a NL2 today.

I know, it sounds like blasphemy on this List...

I really bought it to control the NordModular.

As I can see now, both Synths are different; the

Mod is almost unlimited in sound creation, the Lead

is more useful in real-time playing and creating.

I know it's much to early to me to have a final

opinion, but the Lead gives more control. It's

routed by Midi, so all its Knobs and Buttons can be

used to tweak the Mod. (Even the Arp. has a Midi out!)

Just realize the Knobs on the Mod can be assigned as

Knobs, the Lead information has to be assigned in the

ModPatch as CC!

The Lead has a big advantage in the PerformanceMode,

which is selected by two hand movements; the Mod

needs 12!!! to get the same result (4 Slots assigned)

(BTW the Micro needs only one :-) movement,

so I use this machine to make the quick program changes)

I think you should buy a Rack, 'cause that little

Keyboard isn't worth the difference in price...

(Sure, you can switch to 'Local' and play it

like a split KeyBoard function ;-)

Sound familiar...

You own a NordLead?

Study the Modular LeadCardPatches well, by checking

out what every Module (or group of Modules) does

and how that function is done in the Lead.

There you can learn to emulate a Synth.

BUT...

Is there a way to shut off that 'immediate'function

to the Knobs of the Lead?

Greetings,

Wout.
